To engage in research and education on technology law issues and:

•  Empower corporate executives, professionals, academics, judicial & public officials with technology law updates

•  Enable corporate executives, professionals and public officials to avoid technology law pitfalls and to benefit from technology law options.

• Present the Indian perspective on Technology Law issues

 

4. Membership:

Who should join TLF?

• IT personnel, IT entrepreneurs, IT business executives, CIO's, CTO's,

• Solicitors, lawyers, in-house counsel, legal managers, company secretaries,

• Finance professionals, business executives, consultants,

• Judges, public officials, academics and

• Others with curiosity about technology law and technology law developments

 

5. Categories of membership:

a. Patrons

An eminent person who contributes such sum of money or makes such major contribution in kind as the Working Committee prescribes and/or accepts may be enrolled as a Patron.

b. Corporate Members

A company/association incorporated anywhere, which makes such annual contribution as the Working Committee prescribes and/or accepts from time to time, may be enrolled as a Corporate Member. A Corporate Member may nominate up to 3 employees to participate in the programs and activities of the Forum. [ Current fee Rs. 3000 p.a.]

c . Members

An individual who makes such annual contribution as the Working Committee prescribes and/or accepts from time to time, may be enrolled as a Member. [Current fee Rs. 1000 p.a.]

d. Institutional Members - Universities/Educational Institutes -

An Institutional Member is any recognized educational institute that makes an annual contribution as the Working Committee prescribes and/or accepts from time to time [currently Rs.3000 per annum] and is enrolled as an Institutional Member of the Forum. An Institutional Member shall be invited to all Forum events and functions, and can send a specified number of students and faculty members [currently 3 numbers] to participate in select events and functions of the Forum as determined by the Working Committee, from time to time.

e. Student Member

A Student Member is an individual who has registered to study for a law or other post graduate degree with a recognized University, who makes an annual contribution as the Working Committee prescribes and/or accepts, [currently Rs.400 p.a.] from time to time, and is enrolled as a Student Member. Student members shall be invited to specific Forum events and programs.

f. Honorary Member

An individual of eminence and standing in the community who, the Working Committee unanimously agrees, would add considerable intellectual capital to the Forum might be invited to be an Honorary Member of the Forum
